Designed with multiple built-in safety features, the PPC411 automatically protects against excessive pressure. If the steam release valve becomes clogged, the safety pin automatically rises to release excess pressure and help prevent dangerous pressure build-up. For safe operation, the steam release valve should be cleaned regularly.
To ensure proper operation, the cooker will not begin pressure cooking (the timer will not count down) unless the safety pin is correctly positioned and the steam release valve is turned to the "O" operating position.
Please note: This model requires manual pressure release (depressurisation) after cooking has finished before the lid can be safely opened.
