Designed with safety as a priority, the PPC611 automatically regulates cooking pressure throughout operation and incorporates multiple built-in safety protection systems. If the steam release valve becomes blocked, the safety pin automatically rises to release excess pressure and help prevent excessive pressure build-up. For continued safe operation, the steam release valve should be cleaned regularly.
To ensure safe cooking, the pressure cooker will not begin cooking (the timer will not count down) unless the safety pin is correctly positioned and the steam release valve is turned to the "O" operating position.
Please note: This model requires manual pressure release (depressurisation) after cooking has finished before the lid can be safely opened.
