You have landed on this page as you are probably deciding whether to purchase a Fan or an Air Cooler.
For a start, fan blades circulate the air around us speeding up the evaporation of sweat, which provides a cooling effect; air coolers use evaporative cooling where cooler-moisturised air is blown into the room.
Fans do not remove heat and so do not lower the air temperature inside a room; while air coolers do, and this lower temperature will also be felt across the whole room.
In the PowerPac Evaporative Air Cooler IF7310, when the COOL Button on the Control Panel is pressed, hot air is pumped through a cold water-logged Filter which absorbs heat as the water evaporates. The cooled air is then blown into the room by an internal fan. The Anti-static Dust Filter also removes dust and pollen, which can trigger asthma and allergies, and reduce odours.
The IF7310 has an in-built Ionizer, which releases negative ions into the air. Negative ions efficiently remove small particles from the air, especially during haze season. Some studies have suggested that negative ions provide multiple health benefits on humans/animals, might inhibit the growth and/or kill some microorganisms (like viruses and mould spores). Moreover, no data showed any harmful effects of negative ions on humans/animals.(1)
The IF7310 comes with 3-speed setting with 3 modes: Normal, Natural and Sleep. When the Oscillation Button on the Control Panel is pressed, the vertical Front louvers swings. This appliance can also be used as a normal fan, without water.

It gives us a cool air for comfort. And when iced pack is used it is more comfortable as the heat is removed as the machine gives cooler air. It's a wonderful machine for us.
